Liver Cancer Project
The Kids Liver CANSEARCH Group, part of Geneva University Hospitals, aims to treat children with liver cancer. Its goal is to increase, through an interdisciplinary approach, the quality of care for children with this disease and to develop scientific studies to improve the understanding of this cancer. Several research programs are attached to it, allowing direct participation in the studies of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology of Liver Cancer (SIOPEL). The CANSEARCH platform is responsible for all children with liver cancer at the national level, thanks to the international PHITT protocol. In addition, we are part of the global group that analyzes all the information of all children with liver cancer on the planet (CHIC database). The project of the CANSEARCH research platform with SIOPEL has been supported by the Swiss Cancer League and the European Union via the Horizon 2020 Program. It has also been published in the prestigious journal The New England Journal of Medicine.
